My latest question is regarding the district purchase of test platforms and scanners. What position is your district taking? Do you already have a local testing infrastructure in place? Are you relying on the state to provide a platform that will meet the needs of your district?

  1. Polk County is currently pursuing a potential LMS system to support the LIIS requirements of RTTT which includes an assessment item bank and assessment platform.

No decision as of yet on which vendor we will go with.

  2. Seminole is planning to test exclusively online, we do not have the capacity for paper pencil exams. I am not sure we have the capacity to do all CBT but that is the goal.

  3. Pinellas recently signed a contract with Performance Matters.

  4. Escambia adopted Pearson Schoolnet which is an IMS that includes an assessment platform. The product, we hope and expect, will continue to expand into more of an LMS. The assessment module of Schoolnet is what the state adopted. We selected Schoolnet prior to the state's adoption.

  6. Alachua is using PCG as the platform but is also purchasing scanners. We simply cannot give all of the required assessments via computer. Many of the gap courses will need to be paper and pencil for us.
